About Tempered House

Tempered House is a Birmingham-based community for leather and BDSM people — built as a place to gather, learn, and belong, regardless of dynamic, orientation, or how long you've been part of this world.

We started Tempered House because community needs more than one room. Whether you're a lifelong Dominant, a curious newcomer, a switch, a rope enthusiast, or someone who's just starting to figure out what this all means to you, there's a seat for you here. We're not built around a single dynamic or a single way of doing things — we're built around the people who show up.

At our core, Tempered House is a 501(c)(7) social club: member-supported, member-driven, and run for the benefit of the people in it. This means the space exists to serve its members first, not to turn a profit off them.

What we offer:

• Access to a fully equipped dungeon for events, education, and private rentals

• Educational programming taught by experienced members of the community

Every new member goes through a vetting process, because trust is the foundation everything else is built on. We take safety, consent, and discretion seriously; not as a formality, but as the reason a space like this can exist at all.
